Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry is a digital dentistry technology that uses a series of overlapping photos to create a three-dimensional image of a dental implant's full arch structure.

  • Place special scan bodies on top of the implant abutments and take a series of overlapping photos.

  • Import the photos into photogrammetry software.

  • Use the software to create a 3D model from the images.

Photogrammetry can help reduce the time and stress involved with dental implants by providing clinicians with accurate and reliable representations of implant positions. It can also be used to acquire digital dental models from plaster models at a minimal cost. 

Our lab offers the use of the Micron Mapper.
